It is almost a standard to add follow buttons of social networks like facebook, twitter and others on blogs. This is very easy for wordpress users because of the numerous plugins that offer the service. It is hard to get follow on social medias buttons for blogger. If you are using blogspot and want to add 'follow' buttons on your blog, then follow the following 10 steps.
10 STEPS TO ADD SOCIAL MEDIAS FOLLOW BUTTONS TO BLOGGER
Step 1: Go to AddThis. Sign up for an account. You
may be required to
check whether it is for a website or Wordpress. Since you are using it for blogspot/blogger, choose check website.
Step 2: Then you will need to decide whether you need a header or you do not, and the title of the header.
Step 3: The next step is to choose among the 4 given layouts: Horizontal Large Menu,
Horizontal Small Menu, Vertical
Large Menu, or, Vertical Small
Menu. If you want it to appear in the footer or below post you can choose either the horizontal or vertical. However if you are displaying at the sidebar, you should choose the vertical small
menu.
Step 4: the next step is to choose the social medias you want people to follow you on. The social
networking sites you can choose from include:
Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin,
Google+, Youtube, Flickr, Vimeo,
Pinterest, Instagram,
Foursquare, Tumblr, and RSS
Feed. You will need to link the social medias you selected to the url of your social media page.
Step 5: A code will appear in the box to the right. Copy the code.
Step 6: then sign in to your blogger dashboard and go to layout.
7. Then Click "add a gadget" in your side
bar or in the footer i.e below your post. Choose
ADD HTML.
8. The next step is to paste the code you copy in step five
in the box given. You can also
add a header here in the title 'box' if you haven't add one on the
AddThis page in step 1.
9. Then click SAVE.
10. Click PREVIEW in the top
right hand corner off the layout
page. If is okay then
click Save Arrangement. Then
go and view your blog to see if the follow buttons appear.
