Oba Obateru established Obat oil in 1981 and to its present date, 50 gas stations are currently functioning effectively all over Nigeria. In 2014, he was worth US $300million dollars by estimation which was done by Forbes.
In the ranking by Forbes Magazine, he is the second richest king in Africa and the richest king in Nigeria.
