Saied Fakhry is a Ghanaian of Lebanese descent; he set up Interplast in 1970. Prior to setting up the company, Fakhry was a trader of general merchandise in Ghana. Interplast is privately owned by the Fakhry Family. Fakhry has been the Chairman of the company since its foundation and his son, Hayssam Fakhry, is currently the managing director.
The company is one of the largest manufacturing firms in Ghana and is one of the biggest producers of plastic pipe systems and fittings in West Africa. The company operates under three brand names; Interplast for pipes and fittings, Everlast for reinforced unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) doors, windows and profiles, and Panelast for wall and ceiling panels.
Interplast produces a wide range of plastic pipes and related products. The company meets most of Ghana’s requirements for small- and large-diameter PVC pipes for water supply throughout the country.

Interplast employs over 600 people and is one of the largest manufacturers of plastic pipes in the whole of West Africa.
Interplast currently exports to Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Angola, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Chad, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Guinea Bissau and Mauritania.
