Beyonce Knowels is a popular American singer, actress and fashion designer who has a net worth of $500 million. Beyonce earned her net worth through her career as a incredibly successful recording artist, business woman and general icon at large. Before going solo, Beyonce was the lead singer of the girl group Destiny’s Child. Destiny’s Child recorded many hits and won dozens of awards throughout their tenure. The group won the Best R&B/Soul Single award for their hit song “No, No, No”. Business Ventures, Endorsements and Products: Beyond acting and singing, Beyonce is also a very creative fashion designer and investor. Together with her mother Tina Knowles, Beyonce launched a women’s fashion line called “House of Dereon” that today produces accessories, footwear, lingerie, shoes, sportswear, jewelry and more.
In 2014 Beyonce partnered with British fashion company Topshop to produce a line of activewear called “Ivy Park”. She ultimately bought Topshop out of their share of the partnership and today controls the brand 100%. In 2019 Beyonce signed a deal to become a creative partner at Adidas to further develop the Ivy Park brand. The day the partnership was announced shares of Adidas rose 1.3%.

Uber Deal: In 2015 Beyonce was hired by Uber’s then CEO Travis Kalanick to do a private concert for employees. She was offered $6 million for the gig. Instead of getting paid in cash, she asked to be paid in Uber shares. That does not mean she received 6 million Uber shares. It means she received $6 million worth of Restricted Stock Units. At the time she received the shares, Uber was worth $50 billion. When Uber went public four years later, her shares would be worth around $9 million (assuming she ever sold any and was not diluted by future investment rounds).
Philanthropy: In addition to her professional success, Beyonce is also known for her generosity. She set up the Survivors Foundation which helps victims of Hurricane Katrina in Houston, Texas.
