Bukunmi Oluwashina was born On May 7th May in the early 1990s, into a Yoruba family of 7, where she happens to be the third child.
She hails from Okemesi in Ekiti state, western Nigeria. Bukunmi Oluwasina graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University with a bachelor’s degree in theatre art.
Career
Bukunmi began writing scripts as a teenager during her secondary school days. However, it wasn’t easy, coupled with the fact that she had to manage her school projects.
She got popular when she produced the award-winning movie “Ayomi. “ Luckily for her, Ayomi earned her a partnership with Pepsi and viva.
The movie featured some renowned artists in the Nollywood industry, including Muyiwa Ademola, Gabriel Afolayan, joke silva, etc. And it was being produced by Muyedeen Oladapo, released in September 2015.
Bukunmi Oluwashina has written many scripts with notable movies, including Oluwere, Itan Temi, beautiful song, a story like mine, etc.
She also got featured in the popular movie “the blogger’s wife. “ The movie was produced by Suen Oloketuyi, directed by Toka Mckabor, and released in 2017.
The movie titled “the blogger’s wife” centers on a male actor whose strength lies in his laptop, and his downfall is his wife.
The major problem between those two characters was love. Also, it featured top actors of the likes of Ijeoma Grace Agu, Segun Arinze, Aisha Lawal, Adeniyi Johnson, and so many others.
Bukunmi is known for her loads of talent that has also helped her combine music and acting in her career. She produced “Beautiful songs “ that happened to be one of her movie production that featured both music and acting roll. The movie explores the theme of love, trials, and survival.
Bogunbe Abiola Paul directed beautiful’s song, and it featured the likes of Joke Muyiwa, Olumide Oworu, etc.

Bukunmi’s first “Ayomi “was nominated for the best indigenous movie(Yoruba) category. She has won other reputable awards such as the Best of Nollywood Awards (BONAwards), MAYA awards, and ACI awards. She was also highlighted as one of the stars to watch out for in 2018.
